Blog entry from Wendy Rhodes
I'm excited about our 'First' exhibition, the space in Cheddar looks great. The size is a challenge though, how is everyone coping with it? I went out and bought some full imperial size sheets of paper (close to A1 size) to try some stuff out, but when I saw where we were to hang I decided to join all the paper together into a long strip and have started working from there. I then had to move furniture in the study to get a section of wall I could hang the paper from! - its a small study!!
The size is liberating though and I'm so glad it was suggested.
Now I've started work I've decided to take a section from a sketchbook page and enlarge all the marks, and then work into them.
This is the page I decided to work from, masked to show the section I liked.

There's is going to need to be quite a lot of interpretation and exploration of markmaking to make a complete drawing but its a great challenge.
How is everyone else getting on I wonder?
